Why Isn't Kenny Rogers in Jail?

Jul 09 2005 09:25 PM

I can think of no good reason that he's not, and it's making me mad

Jail is a bit much for a shove, IMO.

That was assault

It was assault, and he should be facing criminal charges, and he ought to be convicted.

And then, probably probation and community service rather than prison, but it shoud be on his record.

Of course if it were you or I we'd be in court, the kicker here is that he might pitch in the All-Star game, so it goes, the life of a baseball player.

You don't go to jail for that.
if this happened between 2 guys on the street with police present or called to the scene while Rogers is still there he probably spends the night in jail and is released in the morning, probably with an appearence ticket for a violation.

Did something more happen after what we saw on the cameras?

Because, if not, I really don't see what the big fuss is. I certainly don't believe that he should go to jail for it.

Proper punishment will be making the All Star Team, then having to sit through the mandatory one hour individual press conference all players must have.
Hope they have extra cameras running.
